Goa remembers Dayanand Bandodkar on his death anniversary

Panaji:  Goa remembered its first Chief Minister Dayanand Bandodkar on his death anniversary on Wednesday.

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant visited the memorial of Bandodkar at Miramar beach on Wednesday to pay tribute to the late leader.

“Paid tributes to Goa’s first Chief Minister Late Shri Dayanand (Bhausaheb) Bandodkar  on his punyatithi. His work and immense contribution towards the progress of the state and the people of Goa is an inspiration for all of us,” Sawant tweeted.

Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat also remembered the first chief minister on his death anniversary.

Kamat tweeted “Remembering first Chief Minisster and tallest leader of Goa Bhausaheb Bandodkar on his death anniversary today.”

Goa Forward Party Chief Vijai Sardesai tweeted “Paying homage to Goa’s first chief minister Dayanand Bandodkar on his death anniversary, the man who wasn’t only Goa’s tallest leader but one who ushered in India’s first democratic  revolution with the rise of the Bahujan Samaj in the state.”
