Panaji: The Goa Police on Tuesday handed over nearly 50 recovered mobile phones to their rightful owners after completing verification procedures, North Goa Superintendent of Police Rahul Gupta said.
The devices had been seized during investigations into cases of theft and lost property across the state. “This initiative reflects our commitment to effective policing and to ensuring that citizens’ lost belongings are restored to them,” Gupta told reporters.

Police officials said the move is aimed at building public trust and strengthening community relations, while also highlighting the force’s efforts to curb theft-related crimes.
