Goa Police Personnel Benefit from Comprehensive Health Check-Up by Healthway Hospitals and Vianaar Group

Panaji: In a significant initiative to support the health and well-being of law enforcement personnel, Healthway Hospitals, in collaboration with Vianaar Group, organized a free health check-up camp for Goa Police personnel. The camp, held at Healthway Hospitals, Old Goa, saw participation from around 80 police personnel from the Crime Branch and Cyber Crime Police Station.

The camp, inaugurated by Omvir Singh, IPS, Inspector General of Police, Goa, provided screenings for blood sugar, blood pressure, ECG, BMI, and abdominal ultrasounds. Police personnel also received consultations with specialists, including general physicians, cardiologists, gynecologists, dietitians, and physiotherapists. Speaking at the event, Omvir Singh remarked, “The health and well-being of our police personnel are paramount. Such initiatives ensure they remain fit and prepared to meet the challenges of their duty with dedication and resilience.”

Rahul Gupta, IPS, Superintendent of Police (Crime Branch and Cyber Crime), lauded the initiative, emphasizing its role in ensuring the readiness of police personnel to serve the public effectively. Dr. Bossuet Afonso, co-founder of Healthway Hospitals, expressed pride in contributing to the health of police personnel, stating, “We are honored to support those who tirelessly ensure the safety of our community.” Jones Samuel, Public Relations Officer, Vianaar Group, highlighted the organization’s dedication to community welfare, adding, “Partnering with Healthway Hospitals for this initiative reflects our commitment to supporting those who protect us.”

The camp highlighted the importance of preventive care and reinforced the collective commitment to the welfare of Goa’s police personnel.

Among the dignitaries present were Deputy Superintendent of Police Suraj Halankar; Dr. Antonio De Bossuet Afonso, co-founder of Healthway Hospitals, Old Goa; Chairman GDAPL and Head of Surgery, Dr. Sandesh Chodankar; medical superintendent; and advocate Savio Monteiro, Director General Legal Counsel, Vianaar Group.
