“The Goa model is different from rest of the people. Our identity, culture and history is different and is not similar to that of the rest of the country,” he said.

“We got liberated delayed and missed two five years plans but despite that we managed to be most progressive state,” Sardesai pointed out.

He said that Goa’s Liberation is a history but now the young generation has chance to create another future histories.

“We talk about  neo-liberation. We have to liberate ourselves have to liberate from various things, we have to liberate ourselves from the fear….,” Sardesai said.

Sardesai said youth should get a chance to do something for Goa. “Goa is our motherland. There are several opportunities in Goa. Brand Goa sells. There are abundant opportunities, and benefit of the opportunities should go to Goans and sons of the soil.”

“If you have to do it, then we have to liberate ourself from so many things. We have to liberate ourself from negativity. There is a latest trend to project that Goa would be finished. We need to liberate from this negativity,” he said.

Sardesai pointed out that Goa Forward is a young party. “India is a young country, which means 65 per cent of the population is below 35 years. This will  continue till 2026 and after that we will also be considered as a country of not young people,” he said. “We have to  strike the iron when it is hot. This is a time to harness demographic divident. Our youth only will take the country forward,” he said.

We are young party with young leaders and young and fresh ideas. If we go ahead with fresh ideas then we can take Goa to some high point, he said.

Sardesai appealed youths to come ahead with new ideas. “Goans coming with new ideas should be encouraged. It is duty of the party like us to encourage it. we are part of the government and we can give official recognition to the good things that you are doing,” he said.

In an  unique suggestion, Sardesai said that the students can be entrusted with one plant each during the tree plantation drive in schools.

“We have tree plantation drives in school. I feel that it should not be given to any of the agency like Forest department but assign one tree to one student. If one student can plant a tree and take care of it for five years, then you will contribute towards nation building,” he commented.

He appealed the youth to think what they can do for the country.

During the day, 35 schools participated in the Elocution competition which was judged by Prof Vishwanath Swar from MES College, Vasco and Prominent Dentist Dr Anil Da Silva.
