Panaji: GTDC promoted Goa Miles Cab service clocked highest trips on Saturday with total 3723 trips reflecting to the ever-increasing popularity of this service in the coastal state.
The records indicate increasing response for this service, which has been the most affordable taxi tariff in the coastal state, provided to the travelers in the State.
The spokesman of the company said that there were 1,526 local rides while 2,197 were long ones.
Goa Miles has come as a solace for the travelers who can now have affordable taxi service in the tourist state.
The spokesman said that total four drivers did more than twenty trips and their average business was Rs 8,700. In addition to this, eleven drivers did more than 15 trips and their average business was Rs 7,400. Also, 58 drivers did more than ten trips and their average business was Rs 5,300.
The trend continued even on Sunday though Zuari Bridge was closed during the morning hours from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m.
Of the total trips, 23 per cent originated from the Airport while 21 per cent were from Calangute-Baga-Candolim area. Total 19 per cent are from Margao and nearby beach belt, 17 per cent was from Panaji and Porvorim and rest 20 per cent were spread equally.
