Panaji : Drishti Lifeguards continued protesting at Azad maidan at Panaji as their demands for employment remained unfulfilled. The lifeguards had earlier knocked the door of CM’s resident at Altinho, Panaji however they did not get any relief. Today AAP leader Cecille Rodrigues, NCP state president Jose Philip, and Congress Leader Swati Kerkar was also seeing extending support to the life guards at Azad Maidan.
NCP State president Jose Philip commenting on the issue said, “LIfe guards provide protection to tourists who come to Goans beaches, the govt should think about the plight of lifeguards and help them during these difficult times.” Swati Kerkar who was leading the protest said, “Our demands are very simple that these life guards be given a concrete solution, we have been protesting since fourteen months but govt has turned a blind eye towards us.”
