Aam Aadmi Party Government’s remarkable work in the field of education in Delhi which has been earning praise from various quarters in the country and abroad has been documented in a book authored by the Education Minister Manish Sisodia himself. Aap Convenor Elvis Gomes informed reporters that the Goa launch of the book titled ‘Shiksha’ which was earlier released at the national level recently at the hands of former President Dr Pranab Mukherjee, will be held on 19th September at 6 PM in Hotel Mandovi in Panaji. Gomes said that the clear intentions of an honest government could deliver results as was seen with the rapid changes that were brought into Delhi Government schools. Gomes said “ This is a true story in which a son of a poor tailor got help to get into the IIT Delhi or a daughter of a poor woman to get into the Lady Hardinge Medical College. I need not say more.” Gomes said that Aam Aadmi Party has delivered on all assurances given in the manifesto in Delhi and was today the only government that had made water, electricity , health care and education completely free to the common man and travel free for women. “It’s matter of great pride that aap government achieved so much despite obstacles and harassment cases against even the chief minister.” He said that among the top 10 government schools in the country, Delhi got the top rank with two more schools featuring in the top 10.
