Panaji: In an unpardonable error, Goa Information and Publicity Department on Thursday released the message on teachers’ day in the name of former chief minister late Manohar Parrikar, quoting him to be the current head of the state.
The message which was released at around 5.17 pm. on Thursday was not corrected even till 8.22 pm even though several journalists pointed out to the unpardonable mistake on the part of State Information and Publicity department.
The message is apparently a cut-paste job from the last year when Parrikar was at the helm of affair. The department has forgot even to change the date as the message reads the date as September 4, 2018.
The department has claimed that Parrikar has wished the state on the occasion of Teachers’ Day.
