Panaji: The Goa government has submitted ‘confidential report’ on the investigation into Sonali Phogat murder case to Haryana Chief Minister and the Director General of Police.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant told reporters that the confidential report on the investigation into the murder of Sonali Phogat has been submitted to Haryana Chief Minister and the Director General of Police.
He said that the team of Goa Police is also leaving to Haryana on Tuesday to record some statements as a part of the investigation.
Sawant said that the investigation in the case would now be conducted by an officer to the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police , which was earlier conducted by a Police Inspector level officer.
Phogat had died on last Tuesday in Goa hours after her arrival in the coastal state. Police have arrested five persons in connection with the case.
