Panaji: Goa cabinet on Wednesday gave a nod to introduce a Bill during upcoming Assembly session which will ban the dog breeds like Pitbulls and Rottweilers in the coastal state.
State chief minister Pramod Sawant told mediapersons that the cabinet meeting held on Wednesday gave its consent for the government to introduce Animal Breeding and Regulation Bill.
The Bill Goa Animal Breeding, Domestication and Regulation and Compensation Bill, 2025 will be introduced in the upcoming Assembly session.
The bill proposes a ban on dog breeds like Pitbulls and Rottweilers, he said.
The Assembly session will begin from July 21 and will culminate on August 8, 2025.
