Panaji: The Goa government on Saturday appointed Frazella De Araujo as the overall head of its Health and Women and Child Development departments, Minister Vishwajit Rane said.
Rane told reporters that De Araujo has been appointed as the overall head of the Health Department and Women and Child Development Department, and as an advisor to the Health Minister, with immediate effect.
He said that she will oversee the functioning of both departments, including outreach programs and policy formulations of both ministries.
Rane said that De Araujo has been instrumental in the formulation of outreach programs and taking them to the doorsteps of the people.
She will be assisted by Dr. Geeta Deshmukh, he added.
