Panaji: Chief minister Pramod Sawant said that the mid-term review of performance of his government is currently underway, only after which, there would be a decision on cabinet reshuffle in the state.
Talking to PTI on Monday, Sawant said that the BJP believes in the performance of its government. He said that the mid-term review of the Goa government led by him, has already begun.
“The mid-term performance review survey has already begun. The report would be submitted to the government and the party,” he said.
The second tenure of the Sawant-led government began in March 2022 after BJP won 20 out of 40 seats. Congress became the main opposition party winning on 11 seats.
The chief minister also said that he would be reshuffling his cabinet, after sometime, as it is necessary. “The cabinet reshuffle will take little time and it will happen only after the mid-term performance review is completed,” he said.
When asked whether the review and cabinet reshuffle are linked, he said that the decision on cabinet will be taken after taking into account various parameters and performance would be one of them. “We have always been keeping tab on the performance of the minister,” he said.
Sawant said that the decision on cabinet reshuffle will be taken up by him and the party.
