Ponda: Goa Forward on Thursday distributed fruit bearing saplings to the Citizens of the Ponda Constituency.
The drive started from Opa- Khandepar by Party Vice President Durgadas Kamat along with party leader Rajesh Verenkar in presence of Panch members Santan Fernandes, Shailesh Shet and Shravani Gaude.
The people from various areas of Opa and Khandepar were present for the sapling distribution programme.
While speaking on the occasion, Rajesh Verenkar said that Goa Forward aims at keep Ponda clean and green. Party President Vijai Sardesai has been kind enough to see that Ponda moves forward, said Verenkar while speaking on the occasion.
Verenkar further said that it’s time that we protect our nature and greenery in and around Ponda. He further said that Vijai Sardesai would provide all the support to uplift the Citizens of the Ponda Constituency.
Party Vice President Durgadas Kamat said that Goa Forward is committed to take Ponda Forward. He further said that Vijai Sardesai being a graduate in agriculture himself, he has been taking keen interest to take forward agriculture in the state.
Kamat further said that Party President has made it easy now for farmers to avail Krishi Card without facing any hardship.
He stated that the citizens should avail benefits under Nital Baim Nital Goem scheme to clean and renovate the wells. Kamat further said that Party would be opening up its office in Ponda on August 5th 2018. Party President Vijai Sardesai would soon start interacting with the Citizens of Ponda on regular basis, he said.
