Mayem: In an attempt to connect to the experienced generation, Goa Forward Party’s Mayem unit distributed ‘walking sticks’ to the elderly citizen from the constituency, touching their hearts.
Party’s Mayem constituency face and social worker Santosh Kumar Sawant in presence of Vice President and constituency in-charge Durgadas Kamat distributed the sticks by actually visiting the residences of the elderly citizens.
“We are not here only to look into the social problems but we want to touch the life of every individual. Solving the social problems is always on priority for the party, but at the same time we want to provide basic needs for our citizens. That’s the real Goenkarponn,” Sawant said after distributing the sticks.
He said that the party has been working tirelessly to ensure that people are provided care and protection.
“This is a step to take Mayem forward. We will take everyone along us,” Sawant said.
Party’s Vice President Durgadas Kamat said that the blessings of senior citizens are of utmost important for Goa Forward Party. “We went to their houses and also understood what our elder generation wants from any political party. They are experienced people and have seen all the problems and their solutions closely. Their guidance will help us to great miles,” Kamat added.
He said that the party will continue contacting the senior citizens and their opinions would be of most important while drafting certain policies of the government. Kamat said that the party has been growing in the State under the leadership of Vijai Sardesai, and would touch the lives of each and every individual of the State in some or other way.
