Margao: Congress Goa Chief Girish Chodankar was at the receiving end on Monday when Goa Forward Party lambasted him for his statements uttered during a press conference.
GFP Chief Spokesman Prashant Naik told reporters in Margao that Chodankar’s statement against former Deputy Chief Minister Vijai Sardesai raises suspicion whether all the ten Congress MLAs switched over to BJP in league with him.
Naik said that Chodankar had no business to react when Sardesai had criticized State government over the conditions of road. He also pointed out that Chodankar and his party took several days before filing disqualification petition against ten MLAs.
“Despite having clear grounds of disqualification, the Congress party took days to file the petition before Speaker. This itself smacks of a controversy involving Chodankar and ten MLAs,” he said.
