Panaji: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday called Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to inquire about the safety and well being of Goans at the backdrop of the flood.
Goa witnessed unprecedented floods on Friday damaging more than one thousand houses, while several hundred people were left homeless.
Sawant tweeted “Hon’ble PM Shri @narendramodi ji called to inquire about the safety and well-being of the people in the prevailing flooding situation in Goa due to incessant rains. The PM has assured full support and assistance to the State. @PMOIndia.”
