Panaji: Goa government on Sunday extended the state-wide curfew till May 31, 2021 due to the continued pandemic situation in the state.
District Administration, in an order issued on Sunday evening, has extended the fortnight long state-wide curfew to 7 a.m of May 31, 2021.
The curfew was initially imposed on May 09 after the coastal state witnessed surge in the COVID-19 infections.
As per the government notification, the non-essential shops are banned to operate during the curfew period.
Stores selling essential items, including grocery stores is allowed to remain open from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Medical stores will also be functional, and restaurant kitchens will be allowed to stay open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. during the curfew period.
