Panaji: Former Goa Art and Culture Minister Govind Gaude has said he will take his concerns directly to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP President J.P. Nadda and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, following his removal from the state cabinet.
“Addressing a public rally at Marcel village in his Assembly constituency of Priol, Gaude alleged that in the last three and a half years since he joined the BJP, he was not allowed to meet the party high command in Delhi.”
“I was not allowed to meet the party high command including J P Nadda during my last three and half years. Now, I know why they did it,” he said, referring to his sacking from the cabinet.
Gaude said that he has now written letters to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP President J P Nadda and President of Indian Droupadi Murmu informing them about happenings in the state.
The Tribal Leader was sacked following his remarks claiming inefficiency and corruption in Tribal Welfare Department, which is headed by CM Dr Pramod Sawant. He was sacked on June 18, which incidentally happens to be Goa Revolution Day.
Gaude said that he will not resign as MLA or from the party. “I had not joined BJP to resign from the party. I will stay with the party and help PM Modi to achieve his dream of Viksit Bharat 2047,” he said.
“I will also transcribe this speech of mine in Hindi, English and Marathi and send it to Delhi leaders so that no one should create wrong narration out of it. They will also get to speak about the issues that he has been raising about the Tribals in the state,” Gaude said in his one-hour-long speech before the jam packed crowd.
He said that the Tribal community in Goa has been facing injustice for last 60 years. “I am fighting for their rights. Their demands should have been discussed, not the statement that I made about inefficiency and corruption in the Tribal Welfare department,” the former minister said.
