Panaji: Goa Education Department has asked all its affiliated institutions to provide details of the students who have been orphaned or lost either of their parent to COVID-19 pandemic.
State Education Director D R Bhagat in a circular issued on Saturday has asked the educational institutes to compile the data and submit to the department by June 07.
“Due to sudden rise in COVID-19 cases recently, many children have been orphaned or have lost either of the parents due to the pandemic,” the circular reads.
“The service providers might find it challenging to support children in institution with psychosocial and mental health care needs, on the lines the National Commission of Protection of Child Rights, New Delhi have asked department to submit the information to be uploaded on the ‘Baal Swaraj Portal’,” it adds.
Bhagat has said “in this regards, all the institutions are requested to submit the information in the google form on or before June 07, 2021.”
AAP will be the Parents of those children whose both Mother & Father has died due to Covid-19 Disease. AAP will be the Child of those old Parents whose only earning Child has died due to Covid-19 Disease. Hope BJP will do the same in Goa.
