New Delhi: Congress leaders from Goa on Tuesday met party leaders, including National President Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi, to strengthen the organisation, deepen public engagement, and prepare responsibly for the future.

Goa Pradesh Congress Committee President Amit Patkar, in a post on his X handle, said that the party is fully committed to exposing the corrupt and dictatorial Pramod Sawant-led BJP government in the coastal state.

The meeting was attended by AICC General Secretary K. C. Venugopal, AICC Goa desk in-charge Manikrao Thakrey, Congress Central Working Committee member Girish Chodankar, and Goa’s Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao, besides Patkar.

Patkar said that the Goa Congress stands united, focused, and disciplined.

“After a comprehensive and detailed review with President Mallikarjun Kharge, Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, General Secretary (Organisation) K. C. Venugopal, along with Goa desk in-charge Manikrao Thakrey, CWC member Girish Chodankar, and Goa’s Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao, our commitment to Goa has been reaffirmed — to strengthen the organisation, deepen public engagement, and prepare responsibly for the future.

“At a time when people seek stability, integrity, and accountable governance, Congress remains firmly anchored in democratic values and public trust,” he said.

Patkar added that the Congress in Goa is fully committed to exposing the corrupt and dictatorial BJP government led by Dr Pramod Sawant and to earning the people’s mandate to form a responsible, people-centric government in 2027.
