Panaji: If you are a patient or relative of the patient at Goa Medical College and Hospital, there is every possibility that you may lose your mobile phone. The incidents of mobile phone thefts in GMCH have been on the rise, with people lodging their complaints with the outpost located in the hospital. So far, there is no breakthrough in these cases. When asked, Health Minister Vishwajit Rane has said that he has asked the Dean of GMCH to conduct an inquiry into the incidents. He said that the CCTV cameras will also be installed in the hospital. It is pertinent to note that after the Kolkata hospital rape case, the government had committed to install CCTV cameras in the premises for the safety of the doctors. Now those cameras can also provide much-needed safety for the patients and their relatives.
