Panaji: Goa Mining People’s Front (GMPF) has urged Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to immediately act on the auction of124 Mining leases, which stands expired in March 2020, as per Dr.K.Rajeswara Rao committee.
GMPF president Puti Gaonkar has also urged chief Minister to take a decision of immediately restarting of iron ore activities in the State.
Gaonkar demanded that while undertaking e-auction of leases, government should put forth the condition before the bidders, thatexisting workers , truck operators , Machinery owners should be engaged on same terms and conditions on those mines.
“Till the time government take this on this matter, mining dependents should be paid surviving allowance per months,” he demanded.
