Panaji: Health Minister Vishwajit Rane has said that the four staffers who were suspended and a contractual worker terminated from their duty today were involved in gross irregularities.
The minister said that they were suspended after close watch were kept on their activities by the hospital management.
“All those against whom the action has been taken were involved in gross illegalities including accepting bribe to book slot for the Out Patient Department,” Rane said.
He said that some of them were running their private businesses while being on duty while some were involved in disappearing the important documents from the hospital.
“We had to take action as we had to maintain the discipline,” the minister said.
