GCET results announced; boys tops in all three subject

Porvorim: Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE) today announced results of Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET), with boys topping in all the three subjects- Physics, Chemistry and Maths.

Shailesh Kamat topped in Physics by scoring 68 marks out of total 75, while Kudchadkar Ravindra stood first in Chemistry with 70 marks. In maths, Korgaonkar Arsh topped with 71 marks.

GCET exams are conducted for admissions to the professional degree courses in the field of engineering and pharmacy. Total 4169 students had registered to appear for the exams which were held on May 8 and 9.

Total 3994 students appeared for Physics papers,3983 for chemistry and 3088 for maths paper.

DoTE has asked the students to fill up admissions forms for professional degree courses from May 17 to May 25. The forms will be available at DoTE office.

While the admissions for engineering and pharmacy would on basis on GCET results, for MBBS, Nursing, BHMS, the admissions would be based on NEET exam results.

The forms have to be submitted by May 25, irrespective of declaration of NEET results.
