Panaji: Congress Working Committee member Girish Chodankar on Thursday lambasted BJP leader Babu Kavlekar over his statement on Quepem MLA Altone D’Costa.
“Gaddar Babu Kavlekar should be the last person on this earth to give a loyalty certificate to our MLA Altone D’Costa,” Chodankar said.
“Congress cannot forget the backstabbing of 2019, in which then Leader of Opposition Babu, along with nine others, ran towards a pile of notes, insulting thousands of voters. Later, he shamelessly enjoyed the post of Deputy Chief Minister and then miserably lost the 2022 election to Altone,” he said.
Chodankar added, “The Chairman post of Kala Academy is a reward for his gaddar behaviour. Shame on him; he does not have even one percent of the qualities of Altone D’Costa.”
