Panaji: The citizens between the age group of 18 to 59 will be given free COVID-19 booster dose in Goa, State Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said on Friday.
Talking to reporters on Friday, Rane said that the free COVID-19 booster dose would be administered to the population between 18 to 59 under Prime Minister’s initiative to mark ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.’
He said that earlier, the people in this category had to take the booster dose in the private set up.
Rane appealed all the citizens to avail benefit of the free vaccination. He said that the State has set a target of 75 days to cover the entire population with booster dose.
“Each citizen should come forward and take this dose to fight back new variants that arise. It is required for safety of each one,” he said.
