Valpoi: In a shocking news, Fr Daniel Alfonso, who was priest of Valpoi Church, died in a hit and run case reported at Vantem-Bhironda road.
Local MLA and Health Minister Vishwajit Rane has demanded immediate arrest of the accused after speaking to police higher ups.
Several people had gathered at Valpoi police station after the news of death of priest spread like a wildfire in the area.
Rane said that we all are united with the Christian community in Sattari.
“I have already spoken to sp to take strict action against culprit. Such people should be prosecuted for rash and negligent driving,” he added.
