Panaji: Eleven Corporators of the City of Panaji (CCP) that includes two former City Mayors and a deputy mayor are amongst those public functionaries who have failed to submit statement of their assets and liabilities for the year ending March 2017 to the Goa Lokayukta.
The Lokayukat office has made names of corporators, zilla panchayat members, sarpanchas and panch members public for failing to submit the statement of their assets and liabilities, despite reminders.
Former Mayor Vaidehi Naik, Shubham Chodankar , ex deputy Mayor Lata Parekh, sitting corporators Kishore Shastry, Reshma Karishetty, Dinesh Salgaonkar, Pascoela Mascarenhas, Menino Da Cruz, Shubhada Shirgaonkar, Arti Halankar and Rupesh Halankar failed to submit their financial statement.
Total 18 zilla panchayat members failed to submit the details.
Under Section 21 (I) of the Goa Lokayukta Act 2011, every public functionary falling within the purview of the Lokayukta for the purpose o investigation under the Act, is required to file statement of his assets and liabilities held by him or her or any other person on his behalf within six months from the date he enters upon his office and thereafter before June 30, every year.
