For the last few months there is no Kerosene supply to ration card holders in Goa Devendra Gaonkar

Sattari: Since past six months the Below poverty Line(BPL) people could not get the Kerosene quotta at ration card shops. The Civil supply department didn’t supply kerosene to the ration card shops, for the past several months say locals.

The per ration card holder is getting 5 liters kerosene per month with Rs 40 per liter. The ration cards holders from taluka are facing the several problems because of shortage of kerosene supply for the last five months in state.

From the month of May onwards the rural villages from Sattari Taluka are facing the many problems at their home due to the shortage kerosene. This year the rainfall has started very early in the month of May only, in rainy season their is no proper power supply in rural villages of Sattari. In monsoon season the rural villages of Sattari Taluka is depend on Kerosene for lighting lamp at home. The rural villagers light the kerosene lamp in their houses during the monsoon season as their is no proper power supply in rural area say villagers.

In rainy season in our Karonzal village there is no proper power supply. We all villagers are depend on Kerosene lamp. We light kerosene the lamps in our village, says a villager.

In monsoon season, in Guleli village Panchayat area we are facing the power supply problem every day. We demand to the Government that to supply the kerosene quotta of past fews, which is pending since January, say locals from Guleli.
