Minister for Fisheries Shri. Filip Nery Rodrigues today attended the annual ‘Samudra Pooja’ marking the beginning of the fishing season. The Minister, in the presence of MLA Panaji Shri. Atanasio Monseratte, Secretary (Fisheries) Shri. Daulat Hawaldar IAS, Mayor of CCP Shri. Uday Madkaikar and others offered Shrifal and flowers to the waters of River Mandovi (Arabian Sea) and prayed for a fruitful fishing season and well-being of fishermen in the state.
Director Shri. Vinesh Arlekar, Dy. Director Shri. Chandrakant Velip and Smt. Sunita Majumdar, Superintendent Shri. Chandresh Haldankar, Smt. Rohita Naik, Smt. Megha Kerkar were present among others on the occasion. Shri. Narayan Naik performedpooja which was followed by Shree Satyanarayan Mahapooja in the department premises.
