Mapusa: The Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) has ordered the closure of Walke Hotel in Mapusa due to unhygienic conditions found on the premises.
Health Minister Vishwajit Rane posted on his X handle that the FDA Goa team inspected Walke Hotel and ordered its closure following the discovery of unhygienic conditions.
“The decision was taken in the interest of public health, following serious lapses in cleanliness and food safety standards,” he said.
“Such prompt and firm measures highlight the FDA’s zero-tolerance approach towards unsafe food practices. We appreciate the vigilance and dedication of the team in upholding hygiene standards and ensuring the well-being of people across Goa,” he added.
