Panaji: Brother of slain BJP leader Sonali Phogat has filed a formal complaint with Goa police suspecting that she was murdered by two of her colleagues.
Rinku Dhaka, brother of Sonali Phogat, in his complaint before Anjuna police has said that her personal assistant Sudhir Sangwan and another colleague Sukhwinder Wasi had murdered her in Goa.
The complaint alleges that little before her death, Sonali had spoken to her mother, sister and brother in law during which she was sounding disturbed and was complaining against both the accused.
“We had asked her to stay away from them and return back to Hissar (Haryana) next day,” the brother told mediapersons outside Anjuna police station.
He said that the police have refused to file FIR against the accused. “If FIR is not filed against the accused, we will not allow the postmortem to be conducted on her body in Goa,” he said.
Dhaka said that the family members would prefer the postmortem to be conducted at All Indian Institute of Medical Sciences at Delhi or at AIIMS Jaipur.
“She was a BJP leader for last 15 years. We will also appeal to the Prime Minister to help us in getting justice to her,” he said.
The Brother also alleged that CCTV cameras, laptop and other crucial things from her farmhouse in Haryana have gone missing after death.
