Panaji: While the social media was buzzing praising ailing Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar’s determination towards work as he inspected construction work of third Mandovi Bridge, former Jammu & Kashmir CM Omar Abdullah reacted sharply.
“He has a tube inserted through his nose into his digestive tract. How inhuman to force him to continue working and doing photo ops,” Abdullah tweeted reacting to the photo of Parrikar inspecting the bridge work, released by Goa CMO on Sunday.
“Why can’t he be allowed to deal with his illness without all this pressure and tamasha?” he tweeted further.
However, the reaction was strongly countered by the twitterians “Why don’t you just appreciate his honesty and dedication towards his people!!! He could have easily sat in a big bungalow and give interviews but he choose to work….probably that’s why his State is prospering and doing well in every business” twetter Dr rubail Singh
“I bow down to the diligence of @manoharparrikar ji who doesn’t let his illness come between his love for the people of Goa and his responsibilities towards them. But Omar Abdullah janab you find it a ‘ tamasha’ as you are not used to see such dedication in UPA netas,” tweeted Keya Ghosh
“You haven’t heard the word dedication? Nobody is forcing him to work. It’s his choice to serve the people. Very fancy of you tweeting this from your Kangri-heated room, sipping in a kahwa, after destroying the entire valley. Moron” tweeted Anachal.
