Porvorim: Former IT Minister and current Independent MLA Rohan Khaunte has launched an unique scheme to help needy children in their e-schooling.
Under the banner of Porvorim Rising, the MLA has launched a scheme “donate a smartphone and sponsor a needy child’s e-schooling.”
The MLA has appealed people to be a part of this smartphone challenge. “Your noble act will enable a deserving child,” he said.

Speaking about this initiative, Khaunte wrote on social media “@GoaCM’s bluff on online education was easily seen by every Goan in the one day Assembly session. However, now we know that we absoluteIy cannot rely on this Govt. any more and we must come together to make ourselves #Atmanirbhar for an equal, fair society. We have initiated a campaign to help our children who are in need of smartphones to access online education during this pandemic.
