Panaji:Amidst long queues witnessed at various petrol pumps in the state, Goa government on Thursday clarified that there is sufficient stock of petrol and diesel in the state.
In a media statement issued by State Civil Supplies Department, it has informed the general public that due to miscommunication and rumours on social media a short supply of petrol and diesel’s at the retail outlet, there is great panic amongst people and vehicle owners have started rushing to the stations.
This crowding and long queue situation creates chaos at the station thereby creating law and order situation.
The Civil Supplies department has said that the general public at large are hereby informed that there is sufficient stock of petrol and diesel at the oil terminals s for supply and consumers need not panic.
There is no disruption in supply of the stock of Petrol and diesel in the state, the department has said.
The department has said that the situation is being monitored at every level and therefore there is no need to fear for availability of petrol and diesel in the state.
The supply of petrol and diesel will be as was in the past without any disruption.
