Panaji: A day after Saligao residents stopped trucks carrying waste from Taleigao to the garbage treatment plant, Panaji MLA Babush Monserratte said that he should not be forced to resort to ‘Tit-for-Tat’ situation.
Monserratte said that one truck from Taleigao and two from Panaji go to the garbage treatment plant at Saligao, while 90 trucks loaded with sewerage arrive at Taleigao.
“Imagine a situation where we block their trucks. We don’t want to get into confrontation mode. We don’t want to create Tit-for-Tat situation,” he said.
“Let us not reach to such an extend that there is confrontation between us,” he said indirectly urging Saligao MLA Jayesh Salgaoncar to work together with him as a colleague.
