Panaji: As the few hours are left for the ultimate New Year parties to begin, Director General of Police has issued orders to all its police stations to check for drunken driving tonight.
“All Police station incharges and Traffic circle incharges should ensure that tonight, effective prosecution of drunken drivers is done apart from traffic regulation,” DGP Muktesh Chandar has said in a circular issued today.
Control Room should collect prosecution figures for drunken driving police station wise and Traffic circle wise for both North and South Districts and report to me on January 01, 2019 by 12 noon, he has added.
