Margao: Director General of Police Mukesh Kumar Meena distributed covid precautionary kits all South Goa district staff.
Superintendent of Police (South) Pankaj Kumar Singh said that police has been at the forefront of the Covid pandemic including the second wave. They have been coordinating multiple Law and order duties, encouraging social distancing and enforcing stay-at-home mandates all while performing their regular duties to control crime and criminals.
With the current wave of Covid, there was a need felt to equip police staff in a better way to enable them to face the current and future Covid pandemic. DGP Shri Mukesh Kumar Meena today visited District Headquarters at Margao and distributed Covid Precautionary Kits to all South Goa District Police staff.
The function was attended by South Goa District SP Shri Pankaj Kumar Singh along with SDPO’s of South District and other police staff.
The Covid Precautionary kits have been thoughtfully designed to include all the essential items required by police personnel to perform duties safely, such as face shields, face masks, sanitizers, hand gloves, Vitamin C tablets etc.
DGP Goa further conducted inspection of the District Headquarters and suggested various improvements to promote the smooth functioning of the district police headquarters.
