Panaji: Health Minister Vishwajeet Rane has said strict instructions have been given to the Health Service Department and the doctors from Goa Medical College to carry out fogging at the surroundings of various educational institutions in both North and South Goa where the dangerous mosquitoes are rested. This will help to eradicate malaria, the Minister added. He further said the Government is very much serious as far as cases of dengues in state are concern.
The Health Minister also stressed on the review meeting which was held under the chairmanship of Health Secretary, where in various measures have been discussed to overcome the issue pertaining to malaria and the dengue. He said this process will be taken up with the support of Directorate of Panchayat and Municipal Administration, he added.
The Health Minister urged support of Panchayat Minister and Urban Development Minister in order to activate various Kalyan Samitis formed at Panchayat level. He said as a Health Minister and his Department is on job to control dengue and other related issues in the state.
He appealed, to the public to avoid Dengue by preventing Mosquito Bites and control mosquitoes inside and outside the houses and other places.
