New Delhi: Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut today criticized his own government claiming it to be worst than “British and Portuguese rule.”
“We are witness to British Rule and in Goa you have seen Portuguese rule, but they never went against the livelihood of the people,” Raut said addressing Goa Mining People’s Front protest at Ram Leela Maidan in Delhi.
The protestors are demanding resumption of the mining activity through legislative means.
Raut said that if Prime Minister wants, he can solve the issue of mining dependents in five minutes.
He said that the time has come for all the political parties to come together for the cause and appealed Congress leader in Goa Digambar Kamat to take the lead.
He also suggested Goa Bandh to be held for the cause.
