Panaji: After testing negative and shifting to GMC, Cuncolim MLA Clafacio Dias has tested positive again, as per media reports.
Goa’s leading Marathi daily ‘Lokmat’ reported on Friday that Dias has tested positive for COVID-19 infection, but still continues to be admitted in GMC, creating a fear of spreading the virus to the patients around. They claimed that he was in Isolation ward, where covid suspect patients are admitted.
Dias had tested negative but when he was admitted to GMC, he tested positive again. The newspaper has claimed that “political pressure” is keeping Dias a put in the GMC.
Soon after the print edition of Lokmat carried the report, Goa based cable channel Prudent Media tweeted “Cuncolim MLA Clafacio Dias tests positive for Covid-19 after being declared Covid-19 negative during discharge at ESI Hospital; sources say GMC ascertaining further course; positive test results can be because of presence of dead Covid-19 particles.”
