COVID19 update: 180 new cases, 92 discharged, no deaths on Saturday

Panaji: Goa on Saturday reported 180 COVID-19 positive cases taking the total tally to 3,484 in the coastal state.

As per State Health Department’s bulletin, total 180 new people were tested positive for COVID-19 infection in the state on Saturday, while 92 people were discharged after their recovery from various covidcare centres.

The number of confirmed cases in the state has touched a mark of 3,484 of which 1,425 are active.

The state has reported 21 deaths due to COVID-19 infection.

“Out of 5,489 samples tested on Saturday, 1,816 has come negative while results of 3,493 are awaited,” the bulletin reads.

As per data available, total 365 people residing in Primary Health Centre (PHC) Cortalim (South Goa) are the highest number of COVID-19 cases currently active followed by 272 living in Urban Health Centre, Vasco area.

The areas under Primary Health Centre Mayem (North Goa) and Aldona (North Goa) reported nil cases of COVID-19 infection.
