Panaji: Goa’s coronavirus caseload went up by 40 and reached 55,026 on Monday , a health department official said.
The death toll touched 796 as one of the patients succumbed to the infection during the day, he said.
The number of recovered patients in the state rose to 53,647 with 62 of them getting discharged on Monday. The number of active cases is now 583, the official said.
“With 1,168 new tests, the total number of tests conducted in the state has gone up to 4,94,535,” he added.
