Panaji: Total 157 people were tested positive for COVID-19 infection in Goa on Thursday with the confirmed cases crossing a mark of 3,000.
State Health Department said that 157 new people were tested positive while 143 were sent back home after their recovery from various covidcare centres.
The death toll increased to 19 on Thursday with 55-year-old man admitted to ESI hospital in Margao town succumbing to the infection.
The department said that out of 5,812 samples tested, 2,001 are negative and 3,654 reports are still awaited.
The confirmed number of cases has touched a mark of 3,108 in the state of which 1,272 are active.
