COVID-19: Usgao residents fear community spread after MRF asks its infected workers to go for home quarantine

Usgao: The residents of Usgao has filed a formal complaint against the management of MRF company for ordering several of its workers, who have tested positive for COVID-19 infection, to stay back home, rather than shifting to covidcare centres.

In a complaint addressed to South Goa Collector and handed over to Deputy Collector at Ponda, the residents have named the workers who have tested positive.

In all 20 names are given in the complaint.

“It is learnt that these positive workers inspite of sending them to health centre, they were ordered to stay back home by MRF Company officials. By this coronavirus may spread to their family members and also to the community.”
