Panaji: The number of COVID-19 cases in Goa continued to rise with 196 new positive people tested on Friday.
Two people succumbed to the infection taking the tally to 21.
As per state health department’s bulletin, 196 new cases were found while 129 people were sent back home after their recovery.
The department said that two people including a 67-year-old woman from Vasco who was admitted to ESI hospital died in last 24 hours.
Another unknown person who was brought dead to the distrsict hospital in Margao was found COVID-19 positive.
“Out of 5,627 samples tested, 2,146 were negative while reports of 3,285 are awaited,” the bulletin reads.
