Panaji: Goa reported 85 new people infected with COVID-19, while two patients succumbed to the infection during the day on Sunday taking the tally of positive cases to 2453.
As per the Health Department’s bulletin, a woman (80) and a man (49) succumbed to COVID-19 infection at ESI hospital in Margao on Sunday, which is a specialized facility set up to treat coronavirus patients in the state.
The State Health department said that 85 new positive cases were traced on Sunday while 59 people, who were admitted to different covidcare facilities across the state, were sent home after their recovery.
“Out of 5,008 samples tested on Sunday, 2,328 were negative while 2,595 reports are still awaited,” reads the bulletin, which was issued on Sunday evening.
