Panaji: Goa on Wednesday reported highest ever spike in COVID-19 cases with 198 people testing positive, while there was no death reported during the day.
As per state health department’s bulletin, 67 people were sent home after their recovery from COVID-19 infection from various covidcare centres.
Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has already announced Janata Curfew in the state from 8 pm to 6 am from today, Wednesday till August 10. The state will also have complete lockdown on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
During the day on Wednesday, 198 people tested positive in the state for COVID-19 infection.
The department said that out of 6,064 samples tested during the day, 2,374 are negative 3,492 reports are awaited.
