Panaji: The number of COVID-19 positive in Goa broke all the past record on Sunday with 337 new patients recorded during the day, taking the tally to 6530.
As per health department’s bulletin, 230 people were discharged from different facilities. In all 4668 people have recovered in the state till date.
The state has 1809 active cases while after the death of five people on Sunday, the toll has risen to 53.
On Sunday, two 72-year-old men each, two 54-year-old men each and 45-year-old woman died during the day at ESI hospital in Margao.
Total 4525 samples were tested on Sunday of which 2237 were negative, 337 returned positive while reports on 1951 is awaited.
