Panaji: After failing to make a mark on North Goa Lok Sabha seat, the Congress party is yet to hold a meeting to introspect on the failure of the party, while celebration is still on about success in South Goa.

Party sources confirmed that Goa Pradesh Congress Committee President Amit Patkar is yet to convene a meeting of office bearers and also of the Executive Committee to analyse the results.

Interestingly, the last meeting of the office bearers and executive committee was held in November, last year, Not a single meeting was held during the Lok Sabha election and also after the voting.

“There are some functionaries which are treating the party as their private limited company,” said a senior office bearer on the condition of anonymity. He said that we have never experienced such unprofessional, inexperience and directionless President.

The party leaders are waiting with their analysis about North Goa Parliamentary seat to ensure that the party reviews its performance for future.

North Goa candidate Ramakant Khalap was defeated by BJP candidate Shripad Naik. Khalap has also not made any formal statement after his defeat. He was also not present for the INDIA Alliance press conference held last week.

The question is being asked why Patkar is running away from facing his own functionaries.
